In...I never thought we atheists are happier either. In fact, we are not. I am not.0 Being a free thinker is beautiful, but sometimes in a deeply sad kinda
way. Reality can get way too real sometimes. There is scientific data that actually supports this. Believers are reported to be more content in life in general. It makes sense. It is much easier and settling to follow with a sense of predictability, than clumsily roaming the earth alone.
The thing is ....I don't care who believes what. But in the light of religions distractive nature I feel I must care. Sometimes I'm a militant atheist, and not out of logic. Out of frustration.
Religious people have always been the easiest to control, to manipulate as a collective. Unfortunately this fact allows governments and other leaders to oppress and manipulate entire nations. I have heard more than one preacher say that questioning can lead one to loose faith. Religious institutions can not be trusted to have the wellbeing of humanity as a whole in mind. When you live all your life hoping for another, then this world is treated by those only as a pitstop. Their unyielding arrogance has has been plenty evident throughout history and continues to be be. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03848676419194216658noreply@blogger.com
